Hotel Terms and Conditions
*All bookings must be confirmed with a credit card.
*A minimum bond of $100 is taken by a pre-authorisation of a credit card for every room that is booked. This is to cover for minibar and any other incidentals.
*Guests need to have a credit card for a pre authorisation of the $100 bond plus the room rate and photo ID to be able to stay in the hotel.
*We accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners, AMEX and EFTPOS. We do accept cheque if we receive the cheque at least 7 days prior to stay.
*Management will make every attempt to book package components at the times requested, it may be necessary to schedule request for alternate times.
Check in is from 2pm. Please advise us 24 hours in advance if you will be arriving after 9pm. To check in prior to 2pm please be advised there may be a charge, and it will only be granted dependant on availability.
*Check out is 10am. Later times may be organised on day prior to check out, dependant on availability and there may be a charge.
*It is the responsibility of guests to ensure the property Tabcorp Park is left in a clean, tidy acceptable state of repair, with all dishes washed and put away. Credit card details are kept with your reservation and management will automatically debit any amounts outstanding for:- mini bar, bath robe, extra charges for cleaning, more guest staying, extra bedrooms/bedding being used, purchases or charges incurred for damage, theft, or loss. Extra cleaning charges will be incurred for confetti or similar.
*The property is situated in a quiet area and in the interests of your neighbours; your booking is accepted on the express condition that there is no disturbance after 10pm. No parties to be held on the property and there shall only be the guests whose names are on the registration form in the room from 11:30pm.
*It is the guests’ responsibility to read all terms and conditions of their booking.
*If any key, lock, security device or other goods belonging to Tabcorp Park is lost, payment to repair/replace the item is the responsibility of the guest. Management will debit the credit card that was given to initially secure the booking. If no credit card is supplied payment will be deducted at the time of departure, from the $150 cash bond provided on check in.
*On check in all guests paying for accommodation will be required to provide proof of identity for security reasons. e.g drivers licence, passport in addition to a pre authorisation conducted on the guests credit card.
*Hotel rooms and all areas of the venue are non-smoking. A re-sanitisation fee of $150 will be charged to the signatory of the room if smoking has occurred in the room. Designated smoking areas are available at the front of the main hotel entrance and on the balcony at the end of the corridor on Level One next to room 128.
Cancellation Policy
Applies with confirmation of reservation
*Reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to check in or a “no show” will result in full payment of the first night’s accommodation being debited to the credit card given at time of reservation.
*During peak periods cancellations or postponements at any time in advance will result in the full amount payable being debited to the credit card given at time of reservation Subject to the owner being able to re-book the period concerned, administration fee applies.
*Reservations made as a result of a prize/donation cannot be postponed for another date. Cancellation will result in loss of eligibility and will attract a 50% administration fee of the full value of the prize/donation. Additional components the above policies apply.
*Reservations made through a booking agency will upon cancellation attract said booking agencies administration fee in addition to Tabcorp Park fees & charges.
Damaged or Missing Property
In the event that any property is damaged maliciously, or beyond normal wear and tear, or in the event that property belonging to Tabcorp Park is lost or taken during the course of booking, management reserves the right to charge the reasonable cost for repair or replacement of that property to the guest, and in that regard, the guest acknowledges that the charge may be debited from the credit card or charge facility used for payment of the booking.
Lost property is held for a term of 30 days. It is the responsibility of the guest to contact Tabcorp Park management to claim lost property. On request lost property will be returned COD via Australia Post.
Package Component/ Voucher /Gift Certificate Policy
*Package Components/Vouchers are subject to availability and must be redeemed with completion of a stay prior to expiry date.
*Package Components/Vouchers are not redeemable at Christmas, New Years, Easter and Public Holidays or Special Event Race Days.
*Package components/vouchers are quoted in Australian dollars.
*Only original package components/vouchers signed and validated can be redeemed.
*If cancellation occurs no refund or credit will be given.
*Validity of package components/vouchers cannot be extended.
*Package component/vouchers will not be issued until full payment is received.
*In the event that the product or service named in the package component/voucher is no longer available in the same format or at all, management reserves the right to substitute the product or service for a similar product or service to the same value as the original voucher.
*Tabcorp Park accepts no responsibility for personal injuries/accidents, or loss of belongings, while using the services of a third party.
*Gift certificate expiry date cannot be extended under any circumstances. Refunds will not be given. It is the responsibility of the recipient to book well in advance to secure the reservation prior to expiry date.
Tabcorp Park Privacy Policy
Introduction
At Tabcorp Park we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personally identifiable information.
From time to time Tabcorp Park is required to collect, hold, use and/or disclose personal information relating to individuals (including, but not limited to, its customers, contractors, suppliers and employees) in the performance of our business activities.
This document sets out the Tabcorp Park’s policy in relation to the protection of personal information, as under the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth) the (“Act”) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APP”). The APPs regulate the handling of personal information.
What is personal information?
Personal information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion.
This policy does not apply to the collection, holding, use or disclosure of personal information that is an employee record. An employee record is a record of personal information relating to the employment of an employee. Examples may include health information and information about the engagement, training, disciplining, resignation, termination, terms and conditions of employment of the employee.
Collecting information
Tabcorp Park will only collect personal information that is necessary to provide the relevant service. Tabcorp Park will collect personal information only with your knowledge and with your permission. The type of information that the Tabcorp Park collects and holds may depend on your relationship with the Tabcorp Park. For example, if you are a customer we may collect and hold information including your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, gender and age. If you are a supplier, we may collect and hold information including your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, business records, billing information, information goods and services supplied by you.
Sensitive information
Tabcorp Park will only collect sensitive information where you consent to the collection of the information and the information is reasonably necessary for one or more of the Tabcorp Park’s functions or activities. Sensitive information includes, but is not limited to, information or an opinion about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences, criminal record, health information or genetic information.
How Tabcorp Park collects and holds personal information
Tabcorp Park will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means. We will
collect personal information directly from you if it is reasonable or practicable to do
so.
Personal information may be collected in a number of ways, including without
limitation:
through application forms;
by email or other written mechanisms;
over a telephone call;
in person;
through transactions;
through our website;
through surveillance camera;
by technology that is used to support communications between us;
o through publically available information sources (which may include
telephone directories, the internet and social media sites);
o direct marketing database providers;
When Tabcorp Park collects personal information about you through publicly
available information sources, it will manage such information in accordance with the
APPs.
At or before the time or, if it is not reasonably practicable, as soon as practicable
after, Tabcorp Park collects personal information, Tabcorp Park must take such
steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to either notify you or otherwise ensure
that you are made aware of the following:
the identity and contact details of Tabcorp Park;
that Tabcorp Park has collected personal information from someone other than you or if you are unaware that such information has been collected;
that collection of personal information is required by Australian law, if it is;
the purpose for which Tabcorp Park collects the personal information;
the consequences if Tabcorp Park does not collect some or all of the personal information;
any other third party to which Tabcorp Park may disclose the personal information;
Tabcorp Park’s privacy policy contains information about how you may access and seek correction of personal information held by Tabcorp Park and how you may complain about a breach of the APPs; and
whether Tabcorp Park is likely to disclose personal information to overseas recipients, and the countries in which those recipients are likely to be located. Unsolicited personal information is personal information that Tabcorp Park receives which it did not solicit. Unless Tabcorp Park determines that it could have collected the personal information in line with the APPs or the information is contained within a Commonwealth record, it will destroy the information to ensure it is de-identified.
Use & Disclosure
Tabcorp Park will not use or disclose any information about you for any purpose, other than the purpose for which it was collected unless – You have consented otherwise; or Disclosure is for a related purpose; or As otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act or required under law. Tabcorp Park may disclose your personal information to a related party such as Harness Racing Victoria or third parties authorised to carry out functions on behalf of Tabcorp Park if necessary. Before Tabcorp Park discloses personal information about you to a third party, we will take steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the third party does not breach the APPs in relation to the information. As part of our commitment to keep you informed, we may mail, e-mail, telephone, or contact you by other means to notify you of new Tabcorp Park events or upcoming special offers or other relevant information that may be of interest to you. We always offer you the option to decline any or all of these communications by following the directions included in our e-mails or other communications, or by contacting Tabcorp Park directly. Tabcorp Park will not sell your information from its database to other companies or organisations.
Cross-border disclosure of personal information:
Tabcorp Park is unlikely to disclose personal information to overseas recipients.
Should Tabcorp Park discloses personal information about you to an overseas recipient, we will take steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to the information. Tabcorp Park may also collect non-personally identifiable information about you, such as your use of our web site, communication preferences, travel habits, aggregated data relative to your stays, and responses to promotional offers and surveys.
Anonymity
Wherever practical and lawful to do so, Tabcorp Park will allow you to remain anonymous when entering transactions with Tabcorp Park.
However, in some cases if you do not provide Tabcorp Park with your personal information when requested, we may not be able to respond to your request or provide you with the goods or services that you are requesting. For example, not providing a name will prevent the processing of reservations.
Access and Correction to your Personal Information
Tabcorp Park will, upon reasonable request, provide you with access to your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. We will also take reasonable steps to correct personal information that may be inaccurate, out of date, in complete, irrelevant or misleading.
If Tabcorp Park has previously supplied personal information to a third party and you request us to notify the third party of the correction, we will take such steps as are reasonable to give that notification unless impracticable or unlawful to do so. If you would like to view and or correct your personal information, please forward a written request to Privacy Officer C/ PO Box 184 Moonee Ponds VIC 3039. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period. You may be requested to provide identification to verify your identify prior to viewing your personal information. If Tabcorp Park denies you access or refuses to correct your personal information, we will give written notice detailing the reasons for the refusal and the mechanisms available to you should you wish to make a complaint.
Storage and security of your personal information
Tabcorp Park will take reasonable steps to keep secure any information held about you, and to keep this information accurate, complete and up to date. We will only store your personal information for as long as necessary for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed under the APPs or as required by law.
Reasonable steps will be taken as are possible in the circumstances to protect the personal information from misuse, interference, loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
If the Tabcorp Park holds personal information, it no longer needs the information for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed, the information is not contained in any Commonwealth record and Tabcorp Park is not required by law to retain the information, it will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to destroy the information or to ensure it is de-identified.
Your Privacy on the Internet
Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to your computer’s hard disk for record keeping purposes. The cookies simply operate as a unique identifier, which helps Tabcorp Park know what our customers find interesting and useful on our web site. Data collected from web site use does not identify the user, allowing you to remain anonymous. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies; however, if you do not wish to receive any cookies you may set your browser to refuse them. In some instances this will mean that you will not be able to take full advantage of parts of the web site.
Spam
Tabcorp Park will not send you ‘spam’ without your consent. If you are receiving promotional information from Tabcorp Park and do not wish to receive this information any longer, you may remove your name form our list by visiting the website and following the instructions on how to withdraw your information from that site or by emailing lprout@tabcorppark.com.au requesting to be removed from our mailing list. Tabcorp Park recognizes the importance of information security, and is constantly reviewing and enhancing our technical, physical, and logical security rules and procedures. Tabcorp Park website and servers have security measures in place to help protect your personally identifiable information against loss, misuse, and alteration while under our control.
